The Best Tools To Market Your Business
Today I want to talk to you about some tools you can use in your digital space to help with your online marketing or sales. These are things that every small business owner needs to have on their phone or utilize on their computer.
1. Get the right apps!
For all the social media platforms you’re active on, make sure you have their apps for your smartphone or your tablet. For instance, if you’re active on Facebook, you need to have the Facebook app and the Facebook Pages app. When you have these apps you can post directly from your phone, reply back to messages, etc., from wherever you are. You can access these accounts and stay active on the go.
2. Use a CRM.
A CRM is a customer relationship management tool. That’s a fancy way of saying lead management software. If you’re generating leads from a website or a trade show but if you don’t follow up effectively, then you’re losing business. There’s an old expression that “the fortune is in the follow-up.” If you’re using Post-It notes or Outlook, or your memory to follow up with people whose information you had, you’re losing money. I highly recommend something like HubSpot or InfusionSoft. Those are just two, there are many different kinds of CRM software out there. Make sure you or your sales team have an efficient way to follow up on leads that you’re generating, because again you’re just leaving money on the table if you’re not able to follow up in an efficient manner.
3. Use a Social Media Management tool.
Like the CRMs, there are a many different tools you can use for your social media management. Two of them are HootSuite and SproutSocial. HootSuite is great if you have only one location and a few profiles—it will let you schedule everything to go out and it pushes your content out to all the platforms you’re active on, Facebook, Twitter, Google +, etc. Do your research and see what fits into your budget. But again this will help you be more efficient and save you time as you market your business effectively on social media.
